Relaxing Entry #8

 What do you do when you are stressed and need to relax? Do you read? Do you go on a night on the town with your friends? Do you stay in and watch movies? 

There are so many options when it comes to relaxing. You could go to a body of water and relax. Or go see family if they make you feel better. Or even just stay in your house and binge your favorite TV show for the 5th time. 

I have noticed that the only way that I can relax when I am super overwhelmed is to distract myself. I either pick up that book I have been forgetting to read or go out with my friends or family. But when I sit at home everything stays in my mind running through it all a million times over. Or I go to work and that allows me to think about something else. And keeps me busy which is something I like to do. 

In order for me to fully relax it normally takes me getting myself in order. I have to take nice long everything shower with music playing. Then treat myself to a spa night and get into bed with my book. This unfortunately does not happen very often because life gets in the way, or we are just too tired to do all that. But it is good to prioritize relaxing at least once a week to keep the stress levels at a controllable level.
