Entry #1 The Joys of Reading
I love to read. That is what I do whenever I have free time or just have nothing else to do. I do not like to read just anything I enjoy the mystery books or the murder books. Reading is a great way to pass time because not only is it very fun to do but it also keeps your brain engaged. Reading allows people to destress and only focus on what is being read instead of the world around us. It is a momentary pause on life like a break.
A good thing about enjoying reading is that there is a lot of different genres for books, but you can also read blogs, magazines, newspapers, online articles. Then if you like books but don't like reading a physical copy you can read an e-book. And if you cannot afford to buy books there are libraries. All I am saying with this is that reading is not limited to one thing there are so many options.
Reading allows use to reduce our screen time and help stop or at least not do as much brain rot or mindlessly scrolling on Instagram or TikTok. Reading also sharpens your mind because while reading the more knowledge you absorb. It allows you to use your imagination but not only use it, but it grows your imagination. Reading can also allow you to connect with people who read similar stuff to you.
Reading is very diverse there are so many ways to read and so many types of reading materials. I enjoy reading because it takes me out of this world and puts me into another. It allows me to not worry about whatever is going on and just relax. I hope you either learned a little bit about reading and its benefits.
You are person after my own heart here. Reading is the most critical skill that we can learn and it's even better when we enjoy it. Fiction, especially murder mysteries, are popcorn for the soul that allow us to decompress for the trials of live. I especially love an audiobook since I can enjoy them while cleaning (my least favorite activity). Since we like the same books, do you have any recommendations?
ReplyDeleteHave you ever read Red Roses and Black Dahlias by Mary T. Riosa? It has a little bit of romance but it is sooo good.
