 When looking for a comic that works with my Essay 3 prompt, I found a variety of different comics that could work. But this particular comic I thought was funny but also relevant to my point for the essay. It shows that when they used pesticides on the flowers, they lost points from the inspector.  In the comic shows a man spraying pesticides on the flowers and the bee is the inspector who says that the food is okay, but points are lost for the seasoning. It is funny because the bee is normally the one who uses the flowers, and he is the one talking to the man about losing points for pesticides that make the bees go away.  This is relevant because pesticides kill the pests that go on the plants that they spray the pesticides on, but it also means that if they spray them on our foods, we also ingest them. 

 What do you do when you are stressed and need to relax? Do you read? Do you go on a night on the town with your friends? Do you stay in and watch movies?  There are so many options when it comes to relaxing. You could go to a body of water and relax. Or go see family if they make you feel better. Or even just stay in your house and binge your favorite TV show for the 5th time.  I have noticed that the only way that I can relax when I am super overwhelmed is to distract myself. I either pick up that book I have been forgetting to read or go out with my friends or family. But when I sit at home everything stays in my mind running through it all a million times over. Or I go to work and that allows me to think about something else. And keeps me busy which is something I like to do.  In order for me to fully relax it normally takes me getting myself in order. I have to take nice long everything shower with music playing. Then treat myself to a spa night and get into bed...

 When you think about the foods you consume are there good thoughts running through your mind or bad thoughts. Do you think about what long term affects the foods you consume would leave on your body? You only get one body in your life so wouldn't you like to have a healthy one? When you think of fast foods do you know how that food is made and processed? Or when you look at the grocery store do you know where all those foods come from? These are all questions that can allow us to start thinking about what we are putting into our bodies. In the movie Fresh it is showing us the reality of foods. It shows us a new side and makes me personal want to eat fresh and organic foods. Which is better than fast foods and such but only to an extent.  After watching this movie, it is showing us the reality of how foods get to us and what they go to for us to get them. After showing us this reality, it is up to us to choose to either stay with our same lifestyle or not change. Or it allows ...

       I have volunteered at a pig rescue for a little over two years now. I love animals so much so i thought that since I love pigs and so does my mom, we should go volunteer with them. This place is called the Better Piggies Rescue they have well over 160 pigs. It is so chaotic and fun. This place is truly an experience.      It was a place that we could get away from our life but also be doing something that benefited us and others. We truly only started doing it because my mom loves pigs, and it was something we could do together.      This year I started volunteering at a new rescue that only has horses. It is called After the Homestretch. They take in old racehorses who can no longer race and had to retire. It is very fun to do as well. I love to work with animals so I really enjoy doing these types of things. Horses are really just giant dogs. They have such personalities. Pigs to it is crazy to see how different they all act....

      The ad that I chose was the Allstate Promposal. This ad shows him on the ground with candles that spell out "prom?" and then leads to some of the candles knocking over and catching the leaves on fire and then part of the house one fire. I believe this ad is trying to show that even when you don't expect things to happen, they can at any moment, so it is best to get insurance such as Allstate in this case.      I think that they used this topic of prom to attract the younger generation who could possibly be needing to get insurance soon. Prom is typically for ages 17 to 19 in some cases, so they are reaching that age where insurance becomes a big factor in life.       In the ad he says "things are about to heat up" as he says this it shows a candle tipping over and catching a leaf on fire.       My favorite movie would have to be John Wick. I grew up watching these movies with my dad and also my uncle. We would watch them when nothing else sounded or looked good. I love it because of the action of course. Some of the scenes really make you question if it is even possible, but it is just a movie. This movie is a great movie, but it also is tied to memories for me.      Spoiler!!      Every time I rewatch the first movie I have to fast forward or look away when they unalive the puppy. It just breaks my heart but then that is when John goes and does what he does best. I just always as a kid told myself if anyone touched my dogs I would become John Wick. I know when unrealistic, but dogs are just very special to me.
